When dealing with optimizing your site, one thing we pretty much all certainly know is that the best way to increase a Site’s ranking or search engine results is by creating a link building campaign.  There are many   link building services reviews to streamline the process. The anchor text those links contain is what really makes the difference. So that brings us to the subject today, what is Anchor Text?

Anchor text is the highlighted text in a link. The quality of the anchor text tells the search engines what your site is about. The highlighted text on the page that is visible is called Anchor text.

As a quick example, take a look at this sentence: I need cheap links .  The highlighted text is your anchor text.

Hyperlinks are the lifeline for all the search engines since they travel or crawl around the web via these links. They are the major indicators that tell the search engines the page topics. Most of the new site owners focus should be on boosting links to your page, but don’t forget about your anchor text.

When search engines like Bing or Google locate multiple sites about the same topictwo competing sites, the anchor text is considered as the deciding factor on which one ranks higher. A site may have optimized itself nicely, if anchor text was not used properly it likely will not rank well.

You can also keep this in mind when building a linking campaign for the internal pages of your site as well.  Proper attention when choosing keywords can also help boost your main page, while improving the rank for your internal pages.  This, in conjunction with the proper internal structure of a web site, will help promote not only internal pages, but also the home page.
