Hoping Bling Bling Turns Into Caching

I do not believe I should tell anyone this economy is tough and many people have been having a verydifficult time. I lost my job about four months back when the plant where I was working closed down 2 of their production lines and my bro in law, Barney got his final notice last month when his office commented they were closing the doors for good.

Both of us spent a fair amount of time and effort on the lookout for new roles but with absolutely no luck. However, we were clear on the fact that we still needed income to pay our bills and support our families so Barney and I decided to go into business for ourselves.

We had no clear concept on what this operation would be as my only real talent and experience was in producing washing machines and Barney had worked as a quality control inspector at a candy plant. However, my young neighbor convinced us that rap music, rappers and that hip hop approach to life was the hottest expansion trend in our area today. Now I must admit that both Barney and I agree the entire’rapper scene’ is just plain foolish but if it makes cash then who are we to argue.

Somehow we made a decision to go after the jewelry segment of the hip hop market with the plan that we could start off rather small and just offer our stuff for sale at flea markets till we could afford to open a real store. So, our next task was to find a wholesale bling bling outlet.

We quickly discovered that we had a major problem in that we were a new business with no track record and no credit score which suggested that nobody would sell us any inventory excepting cash. They were all extraordinarily respectful to assure us that credit terms would be possible after we were established but it was all going to be COD at the beginning. We started scrambling then to find personal loans with no credit check.

Well, we eventually got our financing together. Not really as much as we wanted but enough to at least buy some starter inventory and get the project rolling and we had also found some promising wholesale outlets that we thought we could deal comfortably with. However, none of these wholesale vendors was in out town so we were going to want to travel which meant making airline and hotel reservations.

Getting the airline reservations was very easy and most of the hotels now subscribe to some type of online booking engine that made dealing with them also pretty simple.
